Winyela Border Collie Puppies

Planned Litter F – Autumn 2026

We are expecting our next litter at the end of September 2026 from Crystal Diamond Be Orlica “Tara” × Dalguise Dream Affair “Dundee”.

This is a combination we have chosen with great care, with temperament, health, type and the ability to enjoy both an active life and an ordinary day at home in mind.

The waiting list is now open. If you are interested in a puppy from this litter, we are happy to hear from you and get to know you well before the puppies are born.

Please note that puppies from this litter will not be available for breeding homes. Under the terms of our agreement with the sire’s owner, puppies from this combination must not be used for breeding.

Who we are

Winyela is a small family Border Collie kennel based in the Pardubice region of the Czech Republic. We breed under ČMKU/FCI and all our puppies are born with an FCI-recognised pedigree.

We are not interested in producing as many litters as possible. We usually plan around one litter a year, and every combination starts long before the actual mating – with studying pedigrees, health, temperament, strengths and weaknesses of both dogs and, above all, asking ourselves what the combination could bring to the next generation.

Our dogs spend their days outdoors, where they have plenty of space to move, play and simply enjoy being dogs. At night, they sleep in a dedicated indoor room created especially for them. Our puppies are raised in the same environment, with daily human contact and exposure to the sights, sounds and experiences they will encounter later in life. From an early age, they become familiar with people, other dogs, the garden, household and everyday noises, car journeys and a variety of new situations, helping them grow into confident and adaptable companions.

Our goal is not simply to breed beautiful Border Collies. We want dogs that are healthy, sound in body and mind, eager to work with their people and, just as importantly, able to settle and enjoy everyday life.

Health Is More Than A Checklist

Health testing is an essential part of responsible breeding, but for us it is not simply about collecting certificates.

Before planning a litter, we look at the health of both parents, their pedigrees and the wider family wherever information is available. Relevant results can always be found openly on the individual profiles of our dogs.

Depending on the dog and its background, testing may include:

HD and ED – hips and elbows, OCD, specialist eye examinations, and DNA tests such as CEA, TNS, NCL, IGS, MDR1, SN, RS, DM, Glaucoma/goniodysgenesis, EAOD etc.

We believe puppy buyers should always be able to see the health results of both parents and understand why a particular combination was chosen.

What Every Winyela Puppy Goes Home With

Every puppy leaves us with:

  • an FCI-recognised pedigree
  • microchip and EU pet passport
  • vaccinations and deworming appropriate to age
  • a veterinary check before leaving
  • a written purchase contract
  • a supply of the food the puppy is used to
  • plenty of toys
  • information about feeding, routine and care
  • lifelong support from us as breeders

Our relationship does not end when a puppy leaves our home. We genuinely want to know how our dogs are doing years later – and if an owner needs us, we want them to feel they can always contact us.

Puppies leave for their new homes from eight weeks of age at the earliest, depending on the individual puppy, destination and applicable travel regulations.

Is a border collie right for you?

A Border Collie does not need to spend every waking hour training or running. But it does need to be part of your life.

These are intelligent, sensitive dogs that thrive on communication with their people. They enjoy learning, shared activities and having something meaningful to do – whether that is dog sports, hiking, training, herding, showing or simply an active life together.

At the same time, we place great importance on the ability to switch off. A good Border Collie should be enthusiastic when something is happening and capable of relaxing when it is not.

They are observant and quick to learn – including things you never intended to teach them. They respond best to clear, fair and consistent training rather than pressure or unnecessary harshness.

A Border Collie may not be the right choice if you want a dog that will be happy spending most of its life alone or if you have little interest in training and interacting with it.

But if you enjoy building a real partnership with your dog and want an intelligent companion that can be involved in your life, it can be an extraordinary breed to live with.

How We Place Our Puppies

The first step is simply to get in touch.

Tell us something about yourself – where you live, your experience with dogs, what your everyday life looks like and what you hope to do with your future Border Collie.

We ask quite a few questions, but it is not a test. Our aim is to understand what kind of dog would genuinely suit you.

Whenever possible, we like to meet future owners personally before the puppies leave – ideally even before they are born.

As the litter grows, individual personalities gradually become clearer. We do not believe choosing a puppy should be based only on colour, markings or which puppy was reserved first. We know the puppies; you know your life. The final choice is something we prefer to discuss together.

Puppies leave for their new homes from eight weeks of age, with everything listed above and, we hope, with the beginning of a relationship between breeder and owner that lasts for the dog’s entire life.

Puppies Going Abroad

Homes outside the Czech Republic are welcome to contact us as well.

Travel arrangements, documentation and the age at which a puppy can legally enter the destination country vary, so these are discussed individually well in advance. The welfare of the puppy always comes first.

How Much Does a Border Collie Puppy Cost?

We believe puppy buyers should be able to find basic information about price without having to contact a breeder just to ask.

The price of a Winyela puppy is usually between 2.000 and 2.500 EUR, depending on the individual litter and specific circumstances.

This includes an FCI-recognised pedigree, microchip, EU pet passport, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, veterinary examination, purchase contract, food for the first days in the new home and lifelong breeder support.

A reservation deposit of 800 EUR is required once a puppy has been reserved. The remaining amount is paid before the puppy leaves for its new home or upon collection.
